We provide a range of unique network resource re-engineering solutions for wireless cellular Networks along with our technical partners Groundhog Technologies Inc. We offer these solutions in different models either as product licenses or as a service.
The Wireless network resource re-engineering services we offer are –
1. Core Network optimization service
Mobility and traffic increase from subscriber growth leads to high loading growth of mobile network elements. The growing number of network elements and the complexity involved in considering all constraints from GSM, GPRS, plus future UMTS networks is making capacity planning and network optimization more and more difficult, beyond the capability of conventional rule-of-thumb and Excel-based approach. Ineffective network design or inappropriate timing of network expansion will result in wrong resource utilization, unnecessary expenses, equipment overloading, call and handover failures, and even network crashes. Such problems strongly influence the return on investment of mobile operators.
Based on advanced research on mathematical models of subscribers’ mobility and usage behavior, we offer the Mobility-Based Optimization Solutionâ as a service along with our partner Groundhog Technologies Inc. which is able to help operators solve such network problems in an efficient way.
Such a service can assist operators optimize loading levels of their network. Scope for service projects are defined in terms of numbers of MSCs, BSCs, sites and the number of cells. Service projects are expected to achieve the following goals for the network:
Core network load reduction and balancing
Inter-BSC & inter-MSC handover and failure reduction
Improve the achievable network capacity improvement of network expansion
This is becoming more and more important because most data usage happens indoors, and data service typically requires better signal than voice. The majority of customer complaints nowadays are indoors. Using COVMO, clients could identify indoor coverage hole locations and cross-resolution analysis, such as for indoor poor coverage v/s indoor throughput QoE (Quality of User Experience) without a drive test or field measurements and the results are used by operators for planning and improving their network coverage and other KPI’s. CovMo utilizes real network data, multi-dimensional mathematical modeling and Groundhog’s chaos theory based algorithms to analyze Indoor issues. With data usage on the rise on mobile networks, especially indoors has led to new network challenges like Cell breathing, which cause cell coverage to shrink with increased data usage – a phenomena which is nearly impossible to detect through drive tests but impact customer perception of network quality. The accuracy of COVMO has been tested and verified by many major operators like AT&T and accepted as part of their standard network management.
The Process of conducting a CovMo service project is shown below.
Significant reduction of trial-and-error of re-home
Recommendation of short-term core network expansion.
Increase the accuracy of core network capacity planning and CPU loading calculation based on scientific models.
Preparing the network for upcoming new services and serious inter 2G/3G loading.
Typically a service project takes about two months to complete excluding data collection and validation time.
We utilize Groundhog’s patented system OPTIMO - the capacity planning and network optimization product for the service project. It can accurately advise when, where, how, and what network elements to expand and optimize, and how much each plan may cost. This can help significantly reduce operator’s network risk by improving network performance and increasing capacity planning efficiency and effectiveness.
In terms of Project Deliverables, a series of reports are delivered to assist client’s to better understand how subscribers’ mobility and usage behavior affects his network loading, and how to optimize and expand the network.

2. Network coverage hole detection
We conduct the Indoor Coverage Hole Detection service for network operators utilizing our Partner Groundhog’s super intelligent product COVMO. COVMO pinpoints user-perceived network issues such as coverage holes, throughput, and other KPIs in a network. It is based on an entirely new methodology that does not need expensive drive tests but rather uses standard network databases such as call detail records (CDRs), OMC-resident statistics, and other available network data. It can -
Pinpoint coverage holes down to indoor resolution.
Identify holes for an entire network not just those that occur along major roads.
Reveals coverage holes for all time periods, not just for the time periods of drive tests.
Finally, the method is entirely new to the industry and recently patented by Groundhog.
Standard templates for required data are collected from the customer. This data is then used to customise our mobility and mathematical models, data processed and analyzed when the system generates the required reports. The reports generated and delivered can be validated by the client through a drive test.
COVMO is a revolutionary product that helps operators enhance their network efficiency without the conventional effort and cost.
The Service project is also used by major operators as a trial to validate the product leading finally to the purchase and deployment of the product on their network.
